Julie Rattray visited Knayton, near Thirsk, to run a one-day workshop on screenprinting with enamels. This was the inaugural Region 2 workshop, organized by Heather Croft. Thirteen people came, which was about the limit for what the hall, instructor, and provided equipment could manage, and it was a great success!

Julie started with some history of her experience with Riso screens and her efforts to find alternatives given that the Guild is no longer able to purchase Riso screening. She now primarily uses pre-emulsioned light sensitive mesh exposed to sunlight to set the emulsion, at mesh size 77t (77 threads per linear inch).
