I'm the first to admit that I'm not very adventurous with enamels but I do have some favourites which I buy over and over again as they are very predictable and if you are doing precise work then you need that stability. However, I do love it when something comes out of the kiln and surprises you!

Milton Bridge DW1 White (Milton Bridge and/or Vitrum Signum)

My favourite for my bowls. It's a love or hate enamel. I find that when using for bowls then inside and outside should be fired at the same time. It doesn't like being fired with other enamels. If you fire for a long time in the kiln it picks up the copper and gives some interesting green effects. It does not need flux underneath. It is a very powdery enamel rather than grains which is why I like it for Decals and Painting on.
