After an educational and interesting session with Tilly Wilkinson on using copper wire with enamel, I decided to do a series of panels to practise this ‘new to me’ technique.

Materials

Tools

  • Blu-Stic Gum Adhesive

  • Copper panels 50mm x 40mm

  • Copper wire 0.8 or 0.9

  • Various enamels

  • Riso screens

The usual enamelling tools plus

  • Jewellery pliers and wire cutters

  • Tweezers

  • Small watercolour brush

  • Cocktail stick

  • Antique flat iron or other flat heavy metal block
