Although copper beads are usually fired with a torch, Sharon agreed to teach us how to fire them in a kiln which better fitted our circumstances.
The bead is mounted on a steel rod which supports the bead while both enamelling and firing.
Sharon had nice little stands that her husband had made and which supported a rod in the kiln
