Oxidation, Overfiring and Tempering

Marcelo (MB) delivered this workshop as a live demonstration over Zoom, using two cameras so we could both see via screen share what he was doing on his bench and also the Zoom thumbnail of him speaking to camera. This worked well and luckily there were no connection issues. He also provided a downloadable PDF document so that we had instructions, explanations and photographs for ongoing reference.

He explained that the first two steps of the process he was about to demonstrate could in other circumstances be considered ’mistakes’, but he delights in provoking mistakes and turning them into something interesting.
