Phil Barnes’ Workshop at Conference 2005

Phil's class was fully enrolled from the time it was announced and got off to an early start late the night before the actual class was to begin with Phil showing a video he had made several years earlier in which he demonstrated his plique-à-jour technique. Hence, everyone the next morning was primed to become totally familiar with the technique before the class ended at nightfall. The students included a former Selector, another who went on to win two of the Guild prizes this year, and many others with varying levels of expertise. There were twelve of us altogether who were eager to take on the role Phil had assigned to us, neophytes in his workshop.
