If you are concerned about an enamelled piece cooling too quickly after coming from the kiln, you can slow the cooling process in the following ways:-
First : you can make an insulating environment for the enamel by blanketing it in vermiculite. Vermiculite is puffed mica and traps a lot of air. The mica is not hurt by the heat and will not stick to the enamel.
