Region 1 meeting 18th/19th October 2003 - A two day workshop led by Joan Bolton King

The meeting was held at the Leith Lapidary Club rooms. Eighteen members including several visitors from other regions, attended this well planned, expertly tutored and thoroughly enjoyable workshop. For two days, members with widely differing levels of experience were given an opportunity to participate in some very exciting and creative activities. Using liquid enamels and a variety of simple tools, many excellent "sgraffitoed" designs were produced.

The workshop commenced with an introductory briefing from Joan. She began by giving each member of the group a set of printed notes. These presented in the form of an eight page booklet, contained a detailed summary of each aspect of the workshop together with lots of practical hints and tips.
