Controlled Enamel & Sgraffito with Richard Casey
Betty Butler
Richard Casey managed to impart so much information on varying techniques that is difficult to believe that we only had one short day with him. He started by displaying examples of the different techniques he was going to work on.
The first was a portrait drawing of Jane Austen on a white background and the technique could be applied to any suitably sized portrait cut from a newspaper or magazine. He worked on an oval copper base prepared with a basecoat of white and a thin coat of flux.
