ANNY HOOTON'S TUTORIAL ON MAKING AND ENAMELLING BEADS - GUILDFORD 1996

Cora Muddell C.G.E.

Anny demonstrated making creative beads and artefacts using various thicknesses of copper foil and copper tubing. Very thin foil, similar in thickness to sweet wrappers, can be pressed, squeezed or crushed into interesting shapes and beads, pinched in at both ends with holes pierced for threading. Slightly thicker foil makes round, curved or just abstract shapes by twisting and winding round pencils, doweling or forming free-hand. Foil thicknesses between 0.01 mm and 0.05 mm are suitable.
