COLOUR TEST PIECES
At the same time as having fun with your new skills it is well worth while taking pains to develop a sound technique. The accurate colouring of your design is important and small samples of each of your enamels should be made for reference. Odd scraps of copper can be used but small regular shapes may be more pleasing, and preparing them is good practice for the basic method given in part I. Most people fix the sample on the appropriate pot but another useful way of keeping them is to mount then together for reference.
A complete 'palette' of available colours can be made up between the two pieces of plastic of a strong transparent folder. If each piece is kept in place with staples, it is easy to re-arrange them to accommodate new colours. Remember: firmly label and identify each enamel.
