It's 1992, and on to something new: - The Application of Transparent Enamel (Sifting Method)

 

Transparent colours are generally used in the following ways: -

 

  1. On their own over metal - seldom used in sifting techniques.
  2. Over a like opaque colour - to give a richer version of that colour.
  3. Over white to produce a (paler) tint of the transparent colour.
  4. Over a "flux" (colourless enamel) to produce jewel-like colour, and the illusion of depth.
