A Column for Absolute Beginners – Sifting of Transparent Enamels & Scrolling
Bonnie Mackintosh
It's 1992, and on to something new: - The Application of Transparent Enamel (Sifting Method)
Transparent colours are generally used in the following ways: -
- On their own over metal - seldom used in sifting techniques.
- Over a like opaque colour - to give a richer version of that colour.
- Over white to produce a (paler) tint of the transparent colour.
- Over a "flux" (colourless enamel) to produce jewel-like colour, and the illusion of depth.
