Descriptive Notes – Piece on the theme of Jazz

I have been asked to repeat my notes on how I enamelled a three inch oval picture on the set theme of "jazz". This was for an art society where it would be the first enamel exhibited.

Ragtime notes on a composition in enamels.
The development consists of a painted staff emerging from a silver foil trumpet superimposed on a fluxed copper manuscript. The notes of the hot melody are formed by melting opaque chips, while those in the cool cascading minor key have silver foil under transparent colours to accentuate their highlights.
