Some of these materials and adhesives could well be of use in your workroom for creating textured backgrounds on frames and supports, with adhesives capable of holding fired enamels securely in place.

Ready-made box frames may be commercially available but most of my 3D frames have been made using 16mm thick MDF board: Edward, with his jigsaw and Workmate 2000, cuts them out for me. Frames can be planned economically, sizes being cut progressively smaller from each centrepiece to get several from a sheet.
