Gill started by showing us some of her test pieces on copper and aluminium and discussing different types of folds that we could make in metal. She also talked us through the wide range of texturing punches, stamps, and hammers that we could use to add character to our work. After this introduction and a demonstration, we set to with hammers and punches and the room was full of focused faces and noise.
