The Enamelist Society’s conferences take place every second year. They take place over a weekend, but the workshops are held on the 3 days before and after the actual conference. During the weekend instead of ‘hands on’ workshops delegates can attend ‘breakout sessions’ to hear and observe the tutors demonstrate elements of their 3 day workshops.
To see the most amusing and creative cloisonné go on line and look for Mlle. Guillaume. Aurelie Guillaume makes large brilliantly coloured cloisonné brooches, each of which has a story. One portrays the friend who invited her out to dinner, ate his own meal extremely quickly and then began on her plate! She held a slide show of her work with stories and drawings illustrating it.
