When this list was published in 'Glass on Metal' in 1992, enamellers in the UK had no access to Thompson enamels. Now however, thanks to Ellen Goldman we do and, although it is limited, the list may be useful.
There are many transparent lead free enamels that fire successfully direct on copper without using a clear base, these are Tom's favourites:-
