To make for Christmas Gifts

These small dishes were popular with several of my student groups at Dudley College: from my part-time adult enamelling classes, the full-time art and design and the CDT students, to even my Special Needs Supported Learning teenagers who could mange with just a little help. So ….. whether you are new to enamelling; teach groups; or simply decide to make a few for a Christmas craft fair, now is the time to start. I’ll run through the simple method we used.

 

I bought 4” squares of 22 gauge copper: for just a few dishes I would have cut my own from copper sheet, maybe even designing and cutting a curvy shape as the one illustrated, bottom right of colour page.
