I was asked if my Special Needs teenage students could produce some keyfobs; these to be given to the important guests invited to present prizes and certificates at their Awards Evening.

We needed solid, chunky pieces to survive the battering from a bunch of keys. They had to have an element of design, but be simple enough for the student to produce without any being spoiled.

Millefiori look impressive to non-enamellers who haven't done it all before! My students enjoy them but tend to plonk a random assortment all over the piece. My solution was to compromise by using them as secondary to a wire design that separates the chosen colour combination.
