Helpful guidelines for the inexperienced

 Many varied shapes are commercially stamped out of copper ready for us to enjoy enamelling, and I see no reason to waste time cutting out small circles and ovals if the required size is readily available. However, a little guidance and encouragement could help those inexperienced at cutting copper to be a little more adventurous with shapes using a piercing saw.

When trying out anything new, enthusiasm has to be maintained in order to encourage practice, so I suggest making simple curved cuts at first. These could be made in ready stamped commercial shapes.
