  • Description of your entry: A little bit of a jeweller, a little bit of an enameler, not an engraver at all but loving the beauty of expression through patterns and colours, I would like to explore the possibility to obtain engraved effects through 3D design.
I designed this piece with patterns inspired by hand engraving.
The casting failed twice. After it failed the first time, I adapted the design. After it failed the second time, I made a silicon mould with the printed model to allow direct wax injection for a better casting result. The third time it didn't fail.
I burnished the embossed lines to give some shine before layering the enamel.

There it is, the orchid sky.
Being perfectly aware of the limit of this trial and my lack of experience on all fields, I feel greatful of being able to submit this piece which, although being ordinary and humble, shines for me, like the rose of the Little Prince.
