For the first time since 2019 we are planning on running a physical conference - it will be at Sparsholt College, near Winchester - and we are really looking forward to being able to meet up in person again. We have the usual selection of fabulous workshops, the master class, suppliers stands, members exhibitions etc. For those people who can't make it to a UK meeting we will also be live streaming the master class on Zoom - there will be more details on this later.
As always, the conference is priced to cover the costs - the basic price is £323 which included full board accommodation fron Friday night to Sunday morning.
Here is a brief summary of the conference highlights - if you are a member you can log in and find more details under the EVENTS tab.
Applications close: At the end of the day on Monday 31st January 2022
Workshop allocation will be notified (emailed) by 14th Frebruary.
Conference opens: Friday 22nd April
Conference closes: Sunday 24th April
Art Attack is a social ice breaking activity which starts off the Guild's conference every year and is nothing to do with enamelling. Art Attack runs on Friday afternoon, this year we will be doing 'Mark making' with Suzanne Phillips.
The Saturday work shops are:
- Torch fired beads (Sharon Ford)
- Glass threads and high firing (Annie Harris)
- Wet process crackle (Dorothy Cockrell)
- Fold forming (Gill Harkness)
- Enamelled flowers (Carol Griffin)
- Colour blending on silver (Jane Short)
- Working with fine silver/gold leaf and foils (Sheila McDonald)
- Screening (Julie Rattray)
When you fill in the application form you will be able to choose a first and second choice of workshop. After all the applications are in we will allocate people to workshops - we do our best to accommodate your choices.
Keith Seldon will be giving the master class on Sunday morning. We'll add more details as soon as they are confirmed.
As usual we will have enamelling and tool suppliers joining us with special offers and discounts for conference attendees. The perfect chance to pick up your supplies for next year!
Registration is on line - members will need to log in and complete the registration form under 'EVENTS'
