  • Description of your entry: Shell design cut from copper using an oxy-acetylene torch.
    Shaping and forming the copper using hammers and sandbag.
    W G Ball liquid flux is firstly applied and transparent blue enamel is then sifted over the wet liquid flux. Once dry I then sgrafitto into the front side of the piece and fire. I then build up layers of transparent colour and when happy with colour add the millefore and beads.
    I then apply the silver foil and fire. When all the silver is applied I cover with silver flux and fire again.
    The final addition of the dichroic slide and metallic mica powder with a final low firing.
