Cornish Sea Stone Pendant

  • Exhibition: Underwater flora and fauna - 2024
  • Description of your entry: Inspired by the bays along the beautiful north coast of Cornwall, this pendant holds a piece of one in its heart. Silver tendrils of seaweed and bubbles suspend a found Cornish sea stone in a pool of shimmering ocean-colored enamels, glass beads, and cubic zirconia. The kiln-fired enamel is over silver foil on copper with silver cloisonné spirals and circles surrounded by fused seed-bead pavé. The handpierced tab setting has four bails allowing multiple orientations. The setting is also integral to the construction of the piece, threading through the enamelled collar and reaching around the stone, holding the elements together.
