Tree panel

  • Description of your entry: Copper cut using oxy-acetylene torch to fit wood.
    After counter enamelling I use WG Ball liquid flux and whilst still wet add transparent enamels. When dry, I sgrafitto tree and landscape image.
    Further firings using mostly transparents and application of some minuet glass balls that require a very high firing until colour achieved.
    Silver foil is applied and fired onto the enamel.
    Silver flux is then sifted over the silver area and some colour transparent and opaque enamel to finish. This piece has had at least 10 firings.
