  • Description of your entry: This enamel derives from a photo of my neighbours' small child enjoying the snow.

Wet process white was brushed on, with the main design sgraffito. The WP was carved away from the dark blue areas which had sifted Soyer 4 direct on the copper.

Underglaze paints were painted on some areas and some transparent and opaque enamels sifted and pushed, but in the main the copper oxides were allowed to develop to give colour and texture.

When I came back to the enamel after a few days, I was dissatisfied and and painted WP white quite thickly over the wings area before sgraffitoing and sifting transparent and opaque pale blues. For the final firing I drifted on soft white and fired low to give texture.
