The Annual Conference

The annual weekend conference is open to all members of the Guild. It is a friendly event, with the opportunity to meet many other enthusiasts from all over the country (and some of our overseas members too).



Conference 2019 was again at Reaseheath College and for the first time we were able to run eight classes. Details of the classes can be found in our news pages and here.

 Click here for the workshops that were held last year at Moulton College, Northants, which was our venue for 2018 and will be again for 2020. 

Conference 2017 at Newton Rigg College near Penrith between 7th and 9th April was our first visit here and to the Lake District. The workshops held on the Saturday are listed here.

2016 marked our return to Reaseheath College and was held over the weekend of 8th-10th April with seven classes again on the Saturday which are summarised here

Sparsholt College, Winchester was the venue for Conference 2015 from April 17th-19th and our 2014 Conference was at Leicester University from 25th-27th April with over 100 delegates and seven workshop classes on the Saturday from Phil Barnes, Harry Nicholson, Dorothy Cockrell, Linda Connelly, Joy Funnell, Sarah Macrae and Maureen Carswell.

Conference 2013 at Queen Ethelburga's College near York was held over the weekend of 5th to 7th April 2013 and details of the classes are in the news article here.

Conference 2012 was held at Reaseheath College, Nantwich in Cheshire over the weekend of 13th to 15th April 2012. There were six classes on the Saturday: Jill Leventon on High Firing, Dale Devereux-Barker on Taking Risks When Designing, Linda Connelly on Bags and Boxes, Jane Short on Back to Basics on Silver, Penny Gildea on Etching and Gillie Hoyte Byromon Sponge Painting Enamel

 The 2011 Conference was held at Canterbury University from 15th to 17th April and featured talks from Phil Barnes and Rachel Gogerley on the Friday evening. Six all day classes on the Saturday: What's Your Story? involving punched siver foil shapes with Bonnie Mackintosh, Enamelled Accents on Art Silver Clay with Joy Funnell, Garden Enamels with Carol Griffin, Layering Colour and Texture with Sheila McDonald, A Day with Two Engravers: Harry Forster-Stringer and Phil Barnes and An Introduction to Printing on Enamel with Tamar de Vries Winter. Conference then finished on the Sunday with a masterclass from Fred Rich .
