We all gathered with excitement to see what we could learn from Janine as we all admired her work. All agreed that we learnt a lot and were very inspired. Janine was keen to get us onto the practical work but there were so many questions and discussions that it wasn’t until late morning that we put scalpel to card.

We all wanted to know how she made her work so well defined with such beautiful colours and here are some of the secrets that she generously shared with us.

She uses a minimum palette of enamels and two of the most useful are a leaded blue flux (T244) and a soft white (O100). The stages we worked through are as follows;
