I have long enjoyed working in copper foil (or shim) particularly when using the repoussé technique, but have often been frustrated because only small pieces can be made sufficiently robust merely by shaping and the addition of several coats of top and counter enamel. In an endeavour to overcome this I have been experimenting by adding epoxy putty (such as Milliput) to the underside once the enamelling has been completed conventionally.
