Guild Chairman Tony Stephens, who was a chorister at Westminster Abbey when a boy, was recently asked to make an enamel shield for incorporation into a book to be presented to the present Dean on his retirement.
Deans of Westminster have personal coats of arms , and the idea was to make an enamel copy of the present Dean's coat of arms which could be recessed into the front leather cover of the book. The bookbinding was undertaken by James Wilkinson, ex BBC Science Correspondent, and a contemporary of Tony's at the Westminster Abbey Choir School.
