Bursary - Terms and Conditions

The Guild of Enamellers offers one annual bursary which entitles the winner to the following: - to one year’s free subscription to The Guild of Enamellers with all accompanying benefits - a free place at the annual residential Spring Conference (full board) with the opportunity to assist a workshop tutor, attend a masterclass & lectures, exhibit your enamels, enter for awards & receive expert assessment.   - including standard return travel expenses (within the UK mainland) paid on submission of receipts - a complete set of Guild teaching videos - Vouchers from Vitrum Signum for enamel supplies -  one year’s free membership of The British Society of Enamellers – sample sets of enamels courtesy of Milton Bridge Ceramic Colours Ltd - tools from Proops Bros. Ltd.

Bursary applications must be made to the Bursary Secretary online, through the  Guild website. Candidates can apply for a Guild of Enamellers Bursary on a maximum of 2 occasions.

The successful candidate will be notified by email and full details will be published in the Spring Guild Journal and on the Guild website

Following the Spring Conference the winner, in conjuction with the Editor, will be required to write a report for publication in the Guild’s Summer Journal.

The decisions reached by the Bursary Selection Panel within the Guild’s Executive Committee, are final and the panel will not be required to provide details of how they came to their decisions in awarding funds.   The panel will not be expected to enter into any correspondence with applicants, successful or otherwise.

All works submitted must be of your own original creation and include the application of vitreous enamel as a major feature - a maximum of three pieces may be submitted to support an entry. Any photo credits must be declared on the application form.

By agreeing to the terms & conditions you are giving the Guild of Enamellers and the Bursary sponsors  permission to use your application images, name, & website in their publications/promotional material & on their websites.
